Happy New Year

I few weeks ago I took the time to create about a dozen cards using the Flower Power Card Elements. They were so easy and so much fun. This is what the kit looks like.

I used them this week to send quick thank you notes to the kids in my class.

Here are just a few of the cards I created.

These were super easy and I think they came out pretty cute. I hope you find time in the new year to have some create time. I need to create my "Year in Review" page in the next few days.
Happy Stamping,
Stacy
(on a Stampin' Up! note: the new catalog will be coming out in mid January and Salebration will take place in February and March, let me know if you'd like to host a workshop)

Stories in Hand

Dan's been working this weekend and I've been blog hopping. Only yesterday, instead of hopping around craft sites I've been hopping around teacher blogs. This year I've been immersed in the Lucy Calkins Writer's Workshop. I'm thoroughly enjoying teaching writing but I have so much to learn and do to perfect this craft - the craft of writing. Anyway, in my travels of the web yesterday I came across some wonderful sites with great ideas. One led me to Jessica Sprague. I'm going to embark on organizing my "stories". I feel this will help me as a writer, scrapbooker and ultimately as a teacher. Hopefully, I'll soon have stories to share here with you. :-)

A quick glance at life

After spending all evening working on school work I took a little break. I went to Becky Higgins blog. She is always so inspiring to me. She has a link on her blog to the very talented Stacy Julian. Stacy has posted a challenge for us to look at the good in our life right at this moment. You can see her post here. http://stacysbigpicture.typepad.com/altogether_too_happy/2008/10/october-1st.html

My plan is to take a few minutes this weekend to take ten pictures of my life right now and to reflect on them through out the coming year. Why don't you join me in this challenge.

Two quick things to share

I don't have time to be blogging so don't tell anyone, LOL. I just had to share. The paint can is going to be used for the kiddos to put the clothespin the will use for checking in in the morning. I used acrylic paint and the Crayon Kids set. The flowers are for Meet and Greet and they have my wishes on the back if a parent wants to grant one. Things like Clorox wipes and colored pencils. I used my new to me Cricut!!! OMG! i love it. It is sooooo much easier than the silouette. I see a lot more use for that. Hope you like!! I'm off to do more school stuff.

Til Later,

Stacy
PS Sorry, i don't have time to fight with the picture, just tilt your head to the left, LOL

Super Simple Stamping

As I get ready to go back to teaching I'd like to incorporate stamping where I can. A few weeks ago I went shopping with my good friend Janet. I found this adorable school house stamp by Amuse and I had to have it. I've been weeding through all my stuff and I came across these tiny notecards from way back when. I decided they'd make great notes or birthday cards for the kiddos in my class. I wanted to make something really easy since, let's face it, time is not on my side. I just whipped this up.
I plan to finish them while I'm on vacation. Super Simple!!! I even used my Real Red marker to doodle around the edge. Enjoy!

Big Shot Dies

Here is the link to the Big Shot Dies that will be available September 1, 2008. I'm so excited. If you already have a die cutting machine these will work with it. If you have other dies they will work with the Big Shot. The possibilities are endless.
